Zanzibar is a Tanzanian island off the coast of East Africa. It was once home to one of the largest and most important slave markets in Africa, but is now an island paradise with some of the best beaches in Africa AND the world. With Swahili and Islamic influences, Zanzibar proudly boasts top notch natural AFRICAN beauty and serves as a reminder that everything we were taught about African countries are not always true. THIS is the Africa they NEVER taught us about! At Glossy Getaways, we are not only OF the culture, but FOR the culture and we are beyond excited to bring you the best of this tropical African paradise!
Please note: If you're not ready to experience new things, immerse yourself in different cultures with a positive attitude and let go of stereotypical Americanized vacation experiences, or if you physically struggle walking distances, up/down stairs and uneven rocky surfaces, this getaway may not be suited for you. Please note: As of now Tanzania REQUIRES that you enter with a negative PCR test OR show your vax CARD prior to entering the country. A travel visa is also required to enter the country which is a very easy process that can be done one month before flying. LASTLY, your flight needs to depart one before the official "Day 1" arrival date IF you want to make the most of this Getaway. THIS IS DUE TO traveling "FOWARD" in time due to them being 7 hours ahead of us. when returning home we will be traveling "BACKWARDS" time wise.
Lets get into the itinerary: (schedule may be subject to change)
Day 1: Welcome to Africa!
You'll be whisked away to your 4+ star accommodations, by our private shuttle driver. Take the day to yourself and enjoy some down time, take in the fact that you just traveled to the Motherland and RELAX poolside or simply take a nap. Tonight we will all come together for our traditional Glossy Getaways Welcome dinner.
Day 2- Stone Town Experience
We'll take it easy this morning so you'll have time to catch up to the time zone change by spending the morning relaxing on our beautiful beach front property. Later we'll head to Stone Town to gain a local perspective, visit the Slave Museum, do some shopping and catch the cliff jumpers in the evening .
Day 3- Zanzibar Bucketlist Experiences
Today is a busy Zanzibar Bucket list day! We'll be swimming with and feeding turtles of all sizes at the Turtle Aquarium. These turtles are rescued, taken care of and eventually released back into the wild. Get ready for plenty of laughter and some amazing photos during the experience!
Day 4- : Lets Get Wet!
We're on an island right? So of course we have to do water activities! Have you ever snorkeled off the coast of Africa before? Today you will on Mnemba island! Zanzibar is known world wide for their stunning beaches and turquoise waters. We are quite literally going to soak up as much of this opportunity as best we can.
Later on we'll be spoiled with tasty seafood lunch right on the beach.
Day 5- The day is YOURS!
You're in Africa! Take it all in, explore your surroundings, relax a little, swim in the pool, lounge on the beach, head into town with friends or our tour bus. Try some new restaurants, meet some locals, get all your social media content in. However you want to spend your day, you can!
Day 6-
Today is a VERY special day, as we'll be spending several hours at a local school. Dedicating our time to a day of "giving back" as we learn about the school and how they provide a proper education for children whose families have been effected by the poverty in Zanzibar. This was one of our top experiences last year! We all laughed, played and danced the afternoon away with the kids.
Day 7- :
Take this day to yourself to shop, relax and take in as much as this beautiful island as you can before we head home tomorrow.
Day 8- : Departure
After our last breakfast in Tanzania, we will be transported to the airport to head back home with new experiences, friendships and stories to tell!

The grand total of the trip can be paid in full, paid in larger increments than listed OR made exactly as the payment schedule is listed above. NO payments will be accepted on due dates that is LESS than the listed above amount. A monthly reminder will be sent out to everyone. Not Included:
All payments made are non refundable and non transferable, unless a getaway is canceled by Glossy Getaways due to an unforeseen circumstances like Government shut downs or covid-19 pandemic. If you decide not to go on a Getaway all payments are non refundable and non transferable.
In the event of an unforeseen cancelation BY Glossy Getaways, the getaway will be postponed to another date and a credit will be issued for the amount available for another Glossy Getaway. The credit can be used towards the postponed getaway or any other (non-sold out) getaway within a 12 month period. After 12 months the credit will be null and void.
The amount of any credit can be effected by airlines policies (where applicable) , and tour company cancelation policies as well. Airlines can take up to 120 days for refunds. In the event of any cancellations at fault of the airlines or tour companies, the amount of the refund will be based on their individual refund policies only.
Given the ever changing international traveling, COVID related guidelines, it is recommended by Glossy Getaways to at least HAVE a vaccine card. Although it may not always be necessary or even mandatory (based on the country of entry). Glossy Getaways will inform you of any/all required documentation that must be completed to gain entry into any country. Thoroughly reading all of the details provided by Glossy Getaways is necessary to avoid any confusion. Glossy Getaways will not be held accountable or responsible for any documents missing due to not thoroughly reading. Glossy Getaways will not be held accountable/responsible for any trip based misunderstandings due to not thoroughly reading guidelines and any documents sent out by Glossy Getaways to participating Getaway Guests.
If a country requires any entry paperwork or documentation that you fail to produce, a refund will not be available. Glossy Getaways will not be held accountable for handling or producing personal and individual documents required to enter any country.
Travel insurance is inexpensive and also suggested. This is something that can be purchased at your own expense. Glossy Getaways does not provide travel insurance, but many companies who sell travel insurance can be found online by doing a simple google search.
Flight pricing for packages that include flights in the total cost, are contingent upon flights not exceeding the allotted amount set per each individual Glossy Getaway. Example: if the package includes up to $1200 towards flights, and flights end up being OVER $1200, the guest is held responsible for the remaining cost of the flight, after the allotted package cost has been subtracted
All policies are subject to change and all Glossy Getaways itineraries are tentative can be adjusted as to the needs of each getaway.
By signing up for a Glossy Getaway with your submission form and making your first installment/deposit payment, you acknowledge that you have fully read, understand and agree to abide by this contractual agreement of Glossy Getaways rules and regulations.
